​ Floor Time | Chat Rules

This is classified material and should not be circulated outside the office!

​The Apple computer on the West side of the front desk is now equipped with our chat app called DRIFT. ONLY floor persons are allowed to open it and use it, exclusively when they are on floor duties.

If you are on the first floor shift in the morning, make sure you open the chat app and double check our website to make sure it shows as available to chat.
If you are the last one on floor, make sure you mark yourself as OFFLINE before you leave, so it will not appear as available to the clients on the website. 

If you forget to turn the chat on, or off, we will be missing lots of potential leads and you will suffer unspeakable consequences! (Gary will receive all the leads himself and not share with anyone). 

SHOULD YOU COME IN THE OFFICE BEFORE OR AFTER HOURS, PLEASE DO NOT OPERATE THE CHAT.

All chats are recorded, please be courteous and professional in every aspect of your interactions with the other end of the chat. Make sure you introduce yourself with your full name when chatting with a new lead.

Hint: When a customer initiates a chat there will be a sound notification from the Mac. Do keep the volume up so you won't miss it.

Try to get as much contact info from the clients in the chat, you will be surprised how many people prefer to start a profitable RE relationship with you through a simple chat, from the comfort of their homes.

Promote our website with all your contacts, as often as you can.

How to operate DRIFT: 

(Please do not change any settings on Safari and please do not move or delete this icon)

1- Click the icon on the desktop.

2- Make yourself available and online by changing the status using the following:

This is the window you will see when you click on the icon at the top of the screen

Conversely, this is the window you will see if you click on the chat icon with a check mark, on the bottom left of the screen. 

Both systems achieve the same goal, they make you look available.

When you are online, you will not see the top icon; make yourself offline using the one on the bottom left as needed.

Once you made yourself available online, please go to our website (http://www.garyhennesrealtors.com) 

and look at the bottom right of the screen.

Click on the icon and if you see this:

It means we are online and you are good to go

When the chat is offline on our end, you will see this instead:

Then you can leave the office with your 15 daily leads from the chat.

PS: This is the main icon that shows you the active and archived chats
